Tomorrow the UFC is holding an event live from Croatia stacked with heavyweight fights. The card includes five heavyweight fights total, with four of them taking place on the main card. The ones I’m particularly interested in are Ben Rothwell vs. Junior Dos Santos, Gabriel Gonzaga vs. Derrick Lewis, and Curtis Blaydes vs. Francis Ngannou.
You’d better set your alarm clock for this one because the action begins early Sunday, April 10, 2016 at 10:30 AM ET with three fights on UFC Fight Pass, followed by four fights on Fox Sports 1 at 12 PM ET, and the main card starts at 2 PM ET with an additional six fights, also airing live on Fox Sports 1.
If you’re like me and you cut the cable and rely on streaming services for your media consumption, you’ll want to take a look at Unlocator to stream the fights. Without Unlocator, the fights will be blacked out from your UFC Fight Pass subscription. This is because the UFC has deals with television providers so it’s not allowed to simultaneously live stream the fights through its streaming service. Stupid, I know.
But what Unlocator does is “fool” UFC Fight Pass into thinking you’re living in a place where the UFC does not have any television deals. This magically unlocks the fights in your Fight Pass account and you can live stream everything and watch it just as you would if you were watching it live on Fox Sports 1.
Unlocator can also be used with a wide range of other streaming services, so I encourage you to check out the Unlocator website for a full list of what it can do for you. There’s also a seven-day free trial so you can test drive the service for free, and if you want to subscribe, you can go one month, six months, or twelve months at a time. I’m on my second year of subscribing to Unlocator and it’s indispensable if you’re a cable cutter and UFC fan.
There’s been no mention of whether Joe Rogan, Brendan Schaub, and Bryan Callen will be doing a UFC Fight Night 86 fight companion podcast, but I will update this post if anything changes.
Enjoy the fights!
