Joe Rogan, Eddie Bravo, Brendan “The Fighter” Schaub, and Bryan “The Kid” Callen will be doing a live UFC Fight Night 82 fight companion podcast for this event which you can watch/listen to live during the event by visiting joerogan.live when the fights start. I suggest loading up the YouTube app on your phone or tablet and listening with headphones as you watch the event. That’s probably the easiest and best way if you want to listen to the commentary from these guys instead of the audio from your television.
This is the card that was supposed to be called UFC 196 and headlined by Cain Velasquez vs. Fabricio Werdum, but both of those guys got injured. Rather than scrapping the card completely, the UFC decided to scratch the title fight from the card and move the entire event over to Fox Sports 1 and make it UFC Fight Night 82. This was a good move.
The card has a handful of intriguing fights, most notably Johny Hendricks vs. Stephen Thompson which is the main event for this free card. There are 12 fights total on the card with two on UFC Fight Pass, four prelim fights on Fox Sports 1, and six main card fights also on Fox Sports 1. Some of the interesting bouts tonight include the aforementioned Hendricks vs. Thompson along with Roy Nelson vs. Jared Rosholt, Joseph Benavidez vs. Zach Makovsky, Josh Burkman vs. K.J. Noons, and Mickey Gall vs. Mike Jackson.
If you don’t have cable/satellite television but you DO have a UFC Fight Pass account and want to watch the fights, head over to Unlocator and sign up for a free trial account. In most regions around the world, the UFC blacks out its live fights due to television deals. You’ve likely seen this message in your Fight Pass account if you’ve tried to live stream a fight. But Unlocator makes it look like you live in a part of the world where the UFC has no television deals, which means you can live stream the fights with your Fight Pass account. Unlocator is indispensable if you’re a cable cutter and UFC fan. Even if you’re not technologically inclined, Unlocator can be easily configured in minutes on your cell phone, tablet, streaming device, laptop, or even your router. Unlocator also opens up other regions of Netflix, lets you access Hulu and Sling TV from outside the US, and so much more. For more info and to register for a free trial, visit Unlocator now.
