Start 2016 off on the right foot: by watching some facepunching!
Sure, UFC 195 isn’t as stacked as UFC 194 with Conor McGregor vs. Jose Aldo and Luke Rockhold vs. Chris Weidman, nor does it have the mainstream appeal of UFC 193 with Holly Holm vs. Ronda Rousey, but there are some fights on the card worth checking out. Robbie Lawler never puts on a boring fight, Carlos Condit looks good when he’s not running away from Nick Diaz for five rounds, and there’s a chance Andrei Arlovski vs. Stipe Miocic could be as bonkers as the Arlovski vs. Travis Browne fight was. Lorenz Larkin is entertaining to watch, as is Brian Ortega and Michael McDonald. Even Dustin Poirier is fighting, buried way down on the UFC Fight Pass prelims fighting against Joseph Duffy, the last man to beat McGregor.
As always, if you’re a cable cutter and don’t have a traditional television subscription, you’ll need to register for a DNS service. I use Unlocator and have for a long time. It can be easily configured on any computer, most devices, and many routers so you can “unlock” the televised prelim fights that are otherwise blacked out from those of us watching in countries where the UFC has television deals in place. Unlocator is available in many subscription lengths (one month, six months, one year) and has a seven-day free trial available. Signing up for Unlocator not only let’s you watch these blacked out fights with your UFC Fight Pass account, but using my link supports this site as well!
Assuming you don’t live in a state where DraftKings is banned, try some fantasy MMA to make UFC 195 more exciting, because there’s sure to be a few duds on this card. Just sign up for a free account, get the $3 entry fee waived when you use my special link, then choose who/how/when you think will win. Score points, win money. It’s (almost) as simple as that. If you’re new, head over to DraftKings and register for a free account, enter the MMA $6K Haymaker for free and have the entry fee taken care of thanks to my special link. Then, cross your fingers and hope that you can win a slice of that $6,000. As usual, using my special DraftKings link helps support this site and keep the lights on.
Happy new year, and enjoy the fights!
