I’m glad UFC 194 is finally here and that neither Aldo nor McGregor had to pull out due to injury. Mainly because I really want to see the fight, but also because I’m sick of hearing about this fight and I finally want to get it over with, regardless of the winner. That being said, I’m hoping Aldo can shut McGregor up once and for all.
There are a bunch of other good fights on tonight’s card, including the middleweight championship bout between Chris Weidman and Luke Rockhold, and the number one middleweight contender match between Jacare Souza and Yoel Romero. Demian Maia vs. Gunnar Nelson, Max Holloway vs. Jeremy Stephens, and Urijah Faber vs. Frankie Saenz are other notable fights happening tonight on the UFC 194 card.
Since Joe will be calling the fights tonight, there likely won’t be a UFC 194 fight companion podcast, unless Schaub decides to host one himself. I’ll keep you updated with any news if I hear anything.
If you’re like me and you don’t have a cable or satellite subscription but want to watch all of tonight’s fights, you need an Unlocator account. Unlocator makes it look like you’re in a part of the world where the UFC’s regional blackouts don’t apply. This lets you live stream the televised portion of the card through Fight Pass when it would normally be blacked out. There’s a seven-day free trial available, so tonight’s the perfect night to try it out and support this site at the same time.
Another way you can support the site is with DraftKings! With my special link, you can enter the MMA $20K Haymaker contest and have the $3 entry fee waived, allowing you to play for free and possibly win your slice of $20,000. It’s a lot of fun to play, and you don’t need to worry about odds or parlays since DraftKings isn’t betting. Just pick who you think will win and when/how they will win, and you will rack up points. The more points you have, the more money you win. Visit DraftKings today, register for a free account, and enter the contest.
Thank you, and enjoy the fights!
