Guest Bio: Trevor Valle is paleontologist and the host of Mammoth Unearthed debuting on October 26, 2014 on the NatGeo Channel.

Topics Discussed: Laws for digging; finding stuff today; origin of paleontology; shutting down job sites; flash frozen animals; woolly mammoths; mammoths in North America; saber-toothed cats; ice cliffs and caves; mammoth tusks; holes in fossil records; selective breeding; wolves and dogs; genetically modified animals; Kirk Cameron; shooting TV show in Siberia; reindeer; drinking blood; grasping concept of time; tusk hunting; Russian culture shock; bleeding mammoth; cloning; frozen ancient diseases; Montana archaeology; science deniers; science and religion; internet trolls; Marilu Henner.

My Thoughts: This was an entertaining and informative podcast that went along quickly and never dragged. From what I remember, Joe didn’t go over things he’s talked about a thousand times, and there wasn’t much (if any) drug talk.
